Position: Home Support Worker

Position Available: 1

Wage: $23.00 per hour +Medical Benefits

Duration: 35-40 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Full-time

Anticipated start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: 2848 140A Street Surrey BC V4P 2H8

Job Duties:

Launder clothing and household linens
Plan and prepare meals and special diets
Assist client with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Plan therapeutic diets and menus
Provide companionship
Provide personal care
Shop for food and household supplies
Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder)
Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
Administer medications
Administer bedside and personal care
Prepare and serve nutritious meals

Job Requirements:

Education: Completion of Secondary School Education is required

Experience: 6 months training of caregiver or 1-2-year relevant experience is required.

Certification: First aid certification may be required

Language: English (Oral and Written)

Personal Suitability: Organized, Flexibility, Effective interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding; Combination of sitting, standing, walking
