Swiss Bakery is seeking a reliable and experienced Handyman/Woman to support the ongoing maintenance, safety, and operational upkeep of its bakery production and retail facilities. The role is essential to ensuring a clean, safe, and fully functional working environment for staff and customers.

Requirements

Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 5 years or more in building maintenance, general repairs, or related facility upkeep work
On-site requirement: Work must be completed at the physical location; remote work is not available
Certification: WHMIS Certificate (required or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities
Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris, dust, and waste materials
Clean and sanitize windows, interior walls, ceilings, washrooms, and other facility areas
Conduct routine safety and security inspections of the premises
Perform minor repairs and adjustments to heating, ventilation, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems
Coordinate with qualified tradespersons or contractors for major repairs and maintenance
Perform minor repairs to appliances, fixtures, doors, and equipment
Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as required
Carry out general maintenance tasks including painting, drywall repair, and facility upkeep
Maintain outdoor areas including watering plants and basic landscaping care
Work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring safety standards are met

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
