GVA WALLS & CEILINGS LTD located in Surrey, B.C. urgently requires 3 Permanent & Full Time Carpenter. Our company deals with residential projects, from multiunit developments, and single-family custom homes, to restoration and renovation services. We do structural upgrades, renovations, framing, formwork, and mill work along with Custom houses and general contracting.

As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements, Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools,  Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials, Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems, Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware, Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments, Supervise apprentices and other construction workers, May prepare cost estimates for clients

Eligibility Requirements:

o Completion of secondary school

o 1 Year experience in the trade

Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland BC

Compensation: $34.62/hour for 30-40 hours/week along with 4% vacation pay
