Job Opportunity: Experienced Drywall Finisher – Super Elite Drywall Ltd.

Super Elite Drywall Ltd., based in Langford, Victoria, is urgently seeking one (1) Permanent, Full-Time Experienced Drywall Finisher. We are located on Vancouver Island, and the job will involve working at various locations across the island. We also offer training if required, for candidates looking to enhance their skills.

Work Setting: Residential & Commercial Projects
Work Site Environment: May include dusty conditions

Job Responsibilities:

Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets on residential and commercial structures.
Secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
Apply successive coats of compound to seams and joints, sanding and smoothing to a clean finish.
Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
Fill joints, nail indentations, and any cracks with compound using trowels and broad knives.
Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape into the compound.
Clean and prepare surfaces for finishing, including finishing corners, angles, and creating decorative designs in the finish coat as needed.
Qualifications:

Completion of Secondary (high) school or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Repetitive tasks
Physically demanding, including standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Must be able to work in various locations on the island.

Compensation: $35.00 per hour for 35 hours per week, plus 4% vacation pay.
